⚠️ Apply only through the official government website. Tinderjobs does not charge any fee.

Yantra India Limited (YIL) has announced the recruitment for the 59th Batch of Trade Apprentices. Candidates aspiring for these 3979 posts should note that there is NO Written Examination. The selection is based entirely on the Merit List prepared from the marks obtained in the qualifying examinations (Matriculation and ITI).

Below is the detailed explanation of the selection criteria, weightage, and grade conversion formulas used for preparing the final merit list.

YIL Apprentice Selection Process 2026

Candidate TypeBasis of Selection
Non-ITI CategoryMerit based on overall percentage of marks in Madhyamik (Class X) or equivalent board examination.
Ex-ITI CategoryMerit based on the simple average of percentage of marks in:
1. Matriculation (Class X)
2. ITI Examination (Minimum 50% required in both).

Grade to Percentage Conversion Formula

If your Board issues grades (CGPA/GPA) instead of absolute marks, you must convert them to percentages. If the Board has a specific formula, use that. If the Board does NOT provide a formula, YIL will use the following standard conversion table:

GradeRange of MarksCalculated Percentage
A+90-10095%
A80-8984.5%
B+70-7974.5%
B60-6964.5%
C+50-5954.5%
C40-4944.5%

Note: If candidates enter CGPA incorrectly without conversion, a standard multiplication factor of 9.5 will be applied uniformly.
